Bucharest, is home to The Village Museum in Herastrau Park that’s dedicated to the history of home life in the various regions of Romania. In 1936 it was one of the first open-air ethnographic museums in the world. In 1936, and today is one of only four such museums. They include Skansen Museum in Stockholm, Bigdo Museum in Lellehamer, Norway and Transilvanian Ethnographic Museum in Cluj, Romania.
