This landscape sits well above 10,000 feet and covers an area of almost 50,000 square miles. It is dotted with volcanic cones and concentrated salt lakes and it is one of the dryest places on planet Earth (Antarctica is #1).
The only two creatures that seem to thrive in this vast region are llamas and flamingos.
Hundreds of locals and tourists alike gather on a cliff above the desert each evening in a celebration of the Sunset.
