Featured here is the Ponte Vecchio, a medieval bridge that crosses the Arno River in Florence. It is one of the most famous bridges in the world and is known for its shops that line both sides across the span. The Ponte Vecchio was built in 1345 and while it has seen numerous changes its character has survived for over six hundred plus years.
