Todays Image • An Eagle, Resurrection Bay

We’ve gone out on Resurrection Bay twice, eight years apart and on the first visit we were overwhelmed by the range and numbers of wildlife in the bay. The bald eagle above was in a nest right as we left the harbor at Seward, Alaska but once into the bay there were sea lions, whales, dolphin and sea birds literally everywhere.

On our recent return trip the weather had turned bad and between the fog, the rain and strong winds there wasn’t much to see but we did find a pod of Orcas – good luck – bad luck…
