Nativity of Jesus Christ in Leeds Cathedral

The Nativity has been the subject of overwhelmingly the largest number of paintings, frescoes, mosaics and stained glass windows in the world since the seventh century. Today’s offering is The stained glass window depicting the Nativity of Jesus Christ in Leeds Cathedral, England. These windows are significant for their artistic and historical value and are notable examples of stained glass craftsmanship. The windows were created by renowned British artist John Hardman Powell and installed in the cathedral in the late 19th century. Powell was known for his exceptional skill in stained glass design and is recognized as one of the leading figures in the Arts and Crafts movement.
