Telephone poles strung with tangles of wires have been a common sight in many countries throughout Asia and it is equally common to see several workers searching through a junction box packed with an equally large tangle of wires. This pole was in downtown Saigon (I know it’s actually Ho Chi Minh City, but most residents seem to still call it Saigon).

To be fair we’ve revisited a number of places where the tel-com infrastructure seems to have made significant progress from the days of the spaghetti wiring and Vietnam ismaking real progress.
